BREAKING: Iran Reports First Two Cases Of Coronavirus While More Cases Emerging In Japan Over The Last Few Hours

ISNA news agency, Iran's semi-official news entity said that authorities have confirmed two cases of the new
coronavirus, the first in the country.
The media report on Wednesday afternoon did not elaborate on the nationality of the two people infected by the
coronavirus nor their ages or gender.
ISNA quoted an official in the country's health ministry, Kiyanoush Jahanpour, as saying that "since last two days, some suspected cases of the new
coronavirus were found. We now have two confirmed cases and about a hundred suspected cases.”
It is not known if Iran has the proper testing facilities or the test kits.
Meanwhile since the last 7 hours, 4 more confirmed cases of the
coronavirus have emerged in Japan but details of the age and sex have yet to have been disclosed except that all four were from Tokyo city. It was also disclosed that there are more than three thousand suspected cases across Japan that are being observed and also undergoing testing.
The current total number of confirmed cases in Japan is now 80 as of 6pm, Bangkok time (February 19
th)
There are speculations that Japan will emerge as a second
coronavirus epicenter outside China in the next couple of weeks.
Taiwan and Hong Kong also reported a single new case in each country while South Korea reported 20 new cases in the day bring its toll to 51.
The total number of confirmed cases outside China now stands at 1122 spanning 29 countries while the total number of suspected cases has gone up to 56,200 cases spanning 116 countries.
