COVID-19 News: The Public Health Authority of Saudia Arabia has openly admitted that the JN.1 variant has now increased in circulation dominance and now constitutes about 36 percent of all daily new SARS-CoV-2 infections. https://twitter.com/Saudi_PHA/status/1737517903040139363

Health authorities there have also insisted that the increase in COVID-19 infections across the country has not been accompanied by any increased in ICU admissions.
The Saudi health authorities also released a statement to dispel any rumors or fake COVID-19 News that the new JN.1 variant was causing disease severity or causing a stress on the healthcare system in the country.
Health officials and other government authorities also insisted that there was no need to enforce mandatory masking or stringent COVID-19 measures as they claimed that the current COVID-19 vaccines were effective to protect against the JN.1 variant and that the JN.1 variant was only causing mild infections!
Social media however is awashed with local citizens claiming that local hospitals and healthcare centers were full and that waiting times to see doctors at outpatient clinics or to get a hospital bed were extremely long.
