MUST READ! The Unknowns About The New SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus And How Social Media Platforms Are Preventing Access To Critical Information

The new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 which causes the Covid-19 disease made its debut to the world in early December 2019 in Wuhan, China with its origins still remaining a mystery with so many questions as to which animal it jumped from thru a zoonotic transmission.

Certain fake news sites came up with conspiracy theories the virus was man-made but detailed genomic analysis by researchers from Duke-NUS medical School proved this to be wrong as there was no presence of what is known as P-shuttle-SN expression vectors which are typically found in man-made or modified viruses. (source: https://healthfeedback.org/claimreview/2019-novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-does-not-contain-pshuttle-sn-sequence-no-evidence-that-virus-is-man-made/)

However, certain important questions started to materialize while medical researchers are trying to develop drugs, treatment protocols and vaccines against the new coronavirus.

Among the important questions is the one asking as to whether the coronavirus is capable of mutating and has it already started mutating. WHO and CDC and numerous ‘health experts’ have publicly come out to say that the new coronavirus is not capable of mutating nor has it mutated. However some of their staff are using a non-virological term to say that the virus is evolving! However certain studies have already indicated that the virus is mutating as it spreads from person to person.( Please refer to our published article with reference to studies : https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-:-new-studies-emerging-that-confirms-the-coronavirus-is-mutating-and-becoming-more-virulent

In fact another study revealed that a new substype strain of the coronavirus has already emerged. (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/largest-meta-analysis-of-sequenced-genomes-of-the-coronavirus-reveals-a-new-subtype-has-emerged)

The emergence of mutations and subtypes could have many implications on the drugs and treatments protocols or vaccines that are being developed as their efficacy could be compromised as well as resistance being another issue as seen in Wuhan with certain initial drug protocols used .( https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/latest-coronavirus-showing-resistance-to-earlier-antivirals,-seems-to-be-evolving)

There is still a puzzling question about its transmissibility as since infected individuals who are asymptomatic are still able to pass the :14px">coronavirus to others, which are the ways that they do so since the only manner that the CDC claims is known to be passed around is thru respiratory droplets that are exposed via coughing and sneezing is a big question. (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/is-the-covid-19-coronavirus-capable-of-airborne-transmissions-what-is-the-real-truth)

Many health and government officials including China, Thailand and Singapore have said that the coronavirus is not airborne and has even introduced harsh laws that anyone caught spreading news that it is airborne, is to considered as spreading fake news and misinformation. However to date, no action has been taken by these countries against WHO and its director general, Dr Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus  for publicly commenting that new coronavirus is worst that Ebola an the that the new coronavirus is airborne. (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-world-health-organization%E2%80%99s-chief-says-coronavirus-is-airborne-but-many-concealing-this-including-media-from-us,-china-and-europe)

There are also studies that the new coronavirus could be spread via fecal transmissions (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/chinese-researchers-say-that-public-toilets-can-also-be-a-source-of-coronavirus-transmissions) but again this is being downplayed by many health agencies. Two new studies have since emerged on this including one published in JAMA in February 2020.

Then there they are lots of questions as to what defines a person as being cured of the coronavirus, and if there are any latent reservoirs of the virus in the body that can emerge to reinfect others or cause chronic medical conditions later on. (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/is-china-lying-3,466-individuals-have-recovered-from-coronavirus-what-defines-recovered-or-being-cured)

There are now more than 6 new studies that have emerged about such long term effects that most of the individuals who have recovered are most likely  to suffer from. We will be uncovering these slowly online over the next forthnight. One that has already emerged is that it causes infertility in males.  (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-latest-research-published-by-chinese-scientists-say-coronavirus-will-render-most-male-patients-infertile)

It must be noted that the new coronavirus is extremely potent, pathogenic and virulent (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-:-researchers-from-institut-of-pasteur-say-that-new-coronavirus-has-rapid-multiplication-capabilities-both-in-host-and-in-culture ) and that it attacks the ACE2 (angiotensin-converting enzyme) receptors that are found in all human tissues (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/researchers-warn-that-wuhan-coronavirus-evolution-should-be-monitored-in-patients-as-an-easy-possible-genomic-mutation-could-be-catastrophic) as such there can be numerous other medical conditions that can occur in so called recovered patients.

The is also the issue of the how long the coronavirus can remain active on surfaces as even though  studies shows it can survive for long on surfaces ,(https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-new-research-reveals-coronavirus-can-remain-infectious-for-as-long-as-9-days-on-surfaces-), WHO, CDC along with China and numerous governments have dismissed this although China is now even disinfecting its money in the central banks and all banks while postal agencies in various countries like Singapore etc are now disinfecting all arrived parcels etc.

The issue about testing and diagnostics still remains  big hurdle as Thailand medical news was the first to highlight the testing issues in China (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/reasons-for-china%E2%80%99s-unreliable-death-and-infected-statistics--finally-revealed-insufficient-test-kits,-also-cambodia-reports-first-case) and also the inaccuracy of the testing ( https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news!-us-chief-of-infectious-diseases-at-nih-says-current-coronavirus-test-not-accurate!-new-details-indicates-a-major-challenge-ahead) and also about other blunders (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-china%E2%80%99s-medical-expert-admits-serious-flaw-in-coronavirus-diagnostics0 including the blunders at CDC https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-massive-blunder-us-health-authority-shipped-faulty-coronavirus-test-kits-across-america-and-elsewhere

We even covered data about the extent of the spread (https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-analysis-by-medical-researchers-and-also-data-from-tech-giant-baidu-indicates-that-the-coronavirus-situation-likely-to-get-far-worse-0 ) even studies ... https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/harvard-university-s-infectious-disease-chief-warns-that-a-massive-global-outbreak-of--coronavirus-is-inevitable--international-community-says-china-i or underestimates by WHO and CDC .. https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-researchers-from-sweden,-germany-and-china-say-who-has-underestimated-transmissibility-of-coronavirus)

The incubation period of the disease is till controversial as besides the 24 days period that was mentioned… https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/alarming-news-new-chinese-research-on-coronavirus-finds-incubation-period-of-up-to-24-days) new reports are emerging that there has been cases of up to 30 days in certain patients!

There is still so much answered questions about the coronavirus and besides the fake information by the rumour mongers and charlatans online, we are also faced with misinformation and also fake news by health authorities and organizations as well and governments.

We at Thailand Medical News has been doing our best to only disseminate scientific proven or evidence based information but our site faces a lot of problems  in terms of getting our words out there as social media platforms like facebook, twitter and linkedin prevents us by doing so by limiting our exposure and news feeds as we are just a small entity with no funds to pay for advertising budgets with these platforms plus our exposure on google is also restricted by various governments agencies, WHO and CDC and also all the large online media that are in collaboration with google news.  We appeal to all interested readers to help disseminate and share all our articles as far and wide as possible.
