Of COVID-19 KP.3 And LB.1 Infections
Besides, fever, chills, sore throat, headaches, body pains, chronic fatigue, brain fog and gastrointestinal issues, somnolence has also joined the list of symptoms caused by infections involving either the KP.3 or LB.1 SARS-CoV-2 variants.
What Is Somnolence.
Somnolence is a state of continuously feeling sleepy and even drowsy despite having sufficient sleep.
Many of those infected are complaining of somnolence despite being well rested and the need to simply lie down and get to even more sleep. Many are unable to do their normal chores or are able to work and they are simply unable to focus or concentrate and simply just feel sleepy.
Doctors are unable to explain what is causing the somnolence state in those that got infected with the KP.3 or LB.1 strains but some researchers suspect that these new variants are more neurotrophic and could be causing some neurological effects on the brain.
For some the somnolence only disappears after about 12 to 14 days while for others it still lingers on.
Unique Shingles Reactivation.
Another manifestation that is being seen in many infected with the new KP.3 or LB.1 SARS-CoV-2 variants is a unique form of shingles reactivation. We use the word shingles reactivation because most of those infected already had shingles before but the shingles is again emerging but in a unique form….i.e. without any dermatological manifestations!
Many tell of tingling sensations in only one side of the body and typically involving the lower shin or upper arm especially on sites where one had the chicken pox vaccine when young. This is accompanied by ear or eye problems on one side of the head and also nerve pains and in some extreme cases even leading to brain swelling and encephalitis. In some cases, such chronic shingles reactivation can even trigger strokes!
The unique form of shingles reactivation is similar to Zooster Sine Herpete.

The condition is difficult o diagnose and many of the cases we were made aware of were by those that had gone to see neurological specialists that requested further diagnostics including serological tests.
