Thailand COVID-19 News: Thailand Should Not Impose Any Extra Screenings On Chinese Travelers. Public Hospital Doctors Should Be Banned From Masking!
Thailand COVID-19 News - Chinese Travelers Jan 04, 2023 1 year, 10 months, 2 weeks, 4 days, 9 hours, 54 minutes ago
Thailand COVID-19 News: Thailand should not join other countries in discriminating against Chinese travelers as quiet honestly it serves no purpose as the country has already let tens of thousands of tourists from other countries facing COVID-19 onslaughts and new SARS-CoV-2 variants and sub-lineages including tourists and travelers from the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Australia. The country also had Malaysians being the top travelers coming freely to the country along with Singaporeans… both countries where certain interesting SARS-CoV-2 sub-lineages are in circulation.
With no longer any daily COVID-19 statistical updates, the country is managing the COVID-19 crisis fine and like most other countries, Thais should learn to live with the virus and face whatever consequences.
In fact many Thailand COVID-19 News coverages in local media that is supported by government ads portray that the country really does not have a COVID-19 problem at all!
Thailand should not discriminate against the Chinese travelers. The Chinese have contributed greatly to the country…. why even recently the Thai authorities who are in dire need for money have made a windfall from the confiscation of billions of baht in assets from Chinese criminals and mafia in the country who in the past have been contributing to the pockets of many corrupted individuals in service.
Many deals involving procurement of substandard products from China has also helped grease the pockets of many politicians and it not right for them to treat the Chinese differently now.
Furthermore, Thailand has lots of ‘leading’ ‘virologists’ and ‘experts’ who can be seen frequently making wild claims abouts SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19 or about the new variants in some of the leading garbage main stream media that are basically supported by government sponsorships. Most of these ‘experts’ are themselves not involved in any ongoing research etc but merely sub standardly regurgitating whatever else they have read elsewhere subject to their degree of English proficiency or the accuracy of goggle translate!
With such experts around, the locals should have faith in their healthcare system.
In fact, it was speculated that a huge sum was poured into a project for Thailand to make its own favipiravir and to sell it to countries that also need it! https://tna.mcot.net/english-news-751417
Thailand even had doctors advocating fluvoxamine to treat COVID-19 and long COVID and even had financial support to conduct trials coming from monks, certain spoilt rich kids involved in illegal crypto transactions and exchanges, pubs and restaurants and even foundations that were fronts for money laundering. Background checks on how the parents of some of these rich kids made their monies especially one very rude woman with ties to a certain political party would prove to be very interesting!
Thailand has a health minister from the construction industry background and a firm advocate of cannabis that has repeated given assurances that the public healthcare infrastructure under his watch has everything under control and that local Thais should not be worried about the COVID-19 situation in the country.
With all these assurances and an extremely capable healthcare industry, Thais should not be worried about the influx of Chines tourists into the country as it will help the country economically.
Furthermore, even if COVID-19 infections rates goes up, it will be beneficial for certain private hospital groups and their owners (some who have been already found guilty in the past of stock market manipulations!) as these hospitals can always start increasing their prices for both foreigners and locals and generate more monies for themselves, indirectly helping the economy.
However, the only thing that needs to be changed right now is that despite the fact that masking is no longer mandatory at the moment and many Thais are still responsible enough to mask, it would be good in order to instill more confidence in the country and also in its healthcare and experts if masking is banned for all doctors working in public and even private hospitals except in surgical or ICU settings and also the same for all government officials. This would really instill confidence especially with what all the Thai 'expert's have to say often in the media and withThai doctors frequently saying that the virus is mild etc and that the vaccines and boosters truly help.(Note that is not recommended fro doctors in other countries..it is only for Thai doctors as many think that they are far mnore superior than foreign doctors and in some cases have even challenged COVID-19 research findings conducted by researchers from prestigious institutions elsewhere while the standards of local RD are laughable!)
It will be ‘blessing’ for Thailand once the millions of Chinese tourists start pouring into the country and we can expect to see more ‘Sanook' once again.
