US Medical News: 1,225 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the United States on Friday. The death toll in America as of 7.00am New York (30th May) is now 104,552 while a total of 1,793,535 people have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

So far about 16,810,778 individuals have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus of out of total population of 330,832,890 individuals. It should be noted that these tests are not accurate as the incidence of false negatives are very high. https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/must-read-covid-19-diagnostics-john-hopkins-researchers-warns-of-false-negatives-and-accuracy-of-current-rt-pcr-covid-19-tests

Many are saying that the death figures are not accurate as many states were underreporting or in many circumstances deaths with COVID-19 symptoms but in which the deceased were never tested for the virus were classified as not COVID-19 deaths. Also many cases of deaths among the elderly in their homes or at nursing homes who were never tested were also not classified as due to the novel coronavirus.

It was also reported that about 18,627 COVID-19 patients are currently in critical conditions across the country.

The updated data emerges as President Donald Trump said he was severing US ties with the World Health Organization, accusing it of not doing enough to curb the initial spread of the novel coronavirus and being too lenient with China, where the outbreak began last year.

President Trump suspended funding to the WHO last month. Until now, the United State was by far the biggest contributor to the UN agency, having given $400 million last year.

States and communities across the US continued phased reopenings. New York, the US city worst-hit by the coronavirus, is "on track" to start reopening the week of June 8, Governor Andrew Cuomo said Friday.

While it is important to open the country due to economic reasons, Americans must exercise more precautions and also social distancing protocols done the right way with the right information (not fake data such as social distancing of only between 1 to 3 meters would suffice ) https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/breaking-news-covid-19-prevention-new-study-proves-that-social-distancing-of-1-to-3-meters-is-nothing-but-fake-news-and-misinformation and

It is also important for people to wear protective mask, wash and sanitize their hands often and also to take heed of all other precautions.

Those that have underlying chronic diseases or have compromised immunity should try to self -isolate and the rest should also main optimal levels of their immunity systems by sleeping well, eating the right foods, taking necessary supplements and exercising.
