In-the-ear hearing aids are one-piece aids that fit in the outer ear and are used by individuals with mild to moderately-severe hearing loss. The devices usually need to be custom fitted and moulded to an individual’s ear shape, but modern silicone designs eliminate the need for costly replacements in cases where the ear grows.
